Returns policy

This policy pertains to physical products only. Information and services sold by Risk ZA Group are addressed in the eCommerce Terms and Conditions. This policy forms part of the Risk ZA Group eCommerce Terms and Conditions and should be read in conjunction with the same.

We endeavour in every way to provide a total quality experience to our customers and want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase you may return the product for repair, or replacement (like for like) or a credit to your account, subject to these terms and conditions.

This policy pertains to products sold by Risk ZA Group only. Where Risk ZA Group acts solely in connecting the prospect to a third party, the prospect is required to engage the third party directly for returns, guarantees and warranties.

Condition of return

Returned products must be in the original packaging, clearly marked with a copy of your original invoice together with the returned product. You are to ensure the product is adequately packaged for safe and secure protection during transit.

Delivery errors

If the incorrect product is delivered, you are requested to notify Risk ZA without delay for upliftment/collection. Risk ZA will only accept returns for ‘delivery errors’ where the product is unused and in its original sealed packaging. We will deliver the correct product or credit your account with the purchase price of the product, provided it is within a ten-day period of the purchase. You may also elect to receive a full refund in place of a credit to your account.

Damages

Products damaged in transit will be collected, inspected and the return validated. Damaged products will be repaired, replaced or your account credited as soon as possible. You may also choose instead to receive a refund of the purchase price.

Defects

A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances.

The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return under this section 3:

  • defects from fair or normal wear and tear;
  • defects arising from negligence, abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
  • defects arising from electrical surges or climatic conditions causing corrosion;
  • damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
  • damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product; and
  • where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit the user.

Warranty

Receipt of defective products should be brought to our attention as soon as possible, but not later than 6 months from date of purchase. There may also be an extended warranty offered by the manufacturer of certain products, in which case refer to the ‘Extended Warranty’ clause below.

Once defects have been validated by Risk ZA Group, products will be repaired, replaced or your account credited as soon as possible. You may also choose instead to receive a refund of the purchase price.

Extended Direct Warranty

Extended warranties are described on the product page and are typically under warranty by the manufacturer. The extended warranty is typically beyond the standard duration of six months. Please notify Risk ZA as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the defect within the extended supplier warranty period. Alternatively, you can notify the relevant manufacturer directly if you already have its details.

Refunds

Please note that when refunds are applicable, Risk ZA will refund to the payment in the method originally used i.e. payment by credit card will be refunded to the same credit card, payment by EFT or COD (cash on delivery) will be refunded to the nominated bank account.
